Ingredients Charleston Cheese Dip

  • Mayonnaise - Full-fat mayo, can sub sour cream or Greek Yogurt
  • Cream Cheese - Cream cheese is a soft, mild-tasting cheese with a smooth, spreadable texture. It is made by combining milk and cream with lactic acid bacteria, which causes the proteins in the milk to coagulate and form curds.
  • Monterey and cheddar cheese are two popular varieties of cheese that have become staples in many kitchens throughout the world. Both are delicious and versatile, but have distinct differences in flavor and texture.
  • Green Onions - Can sub dried chives

  • The Ritz crackers are for sucking up all the grease from the cheese.
  • Change up the spices and use some Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes, or Montreal seasoning.

Best dip ever! Easy to put together and can be done a few days ahead! Everyone loves it!
I sometimes add chopped Jalepeno peppers...

That is not a crockpot. It is a white soup bowl... The top picture is a glass pyrex dish. Are you on the right page? 🙂

  3. Kristen says

It would be nice if you would publish the Crock-Pot version of this since the picture shows it in a crock pot and what is with the bag with staples in it explain please?

Please correct amount of mayo. It is 1/2 cup, not 2 cups. I watched her make this on foodnetwork website to check because mine did not taste like usual. Then noticed this site has 3 times the Mayo. I just googled for recipe and used first one that lists items. Sure wish I had clicked on FoodNetWork recipe☹️

  5. AlliH says

This is a great dip but I think you've got the amount of mayo wrong. Trisha's original recipe on the Food Network site says 1/2 cup mayo - not 2 cups. Figured it might be a typo. 🙂

Love this dish! Make it every year for the holidays
